Mr Raseghi – what makes working with E+H Metrology so special?
Our business model has evolved just as dynamically as the industry as a whole: Today, we are not only developers of high technology, but also support customers much more broadly: For instance, it is hardly possible for organizations today to bring along expertise and process knowledge in every area. That's where we come in! Often, people simply order too much or the wrong thing - especially in the highly complex measurement technology segment. We customize very individually here: products are just as tailor-made as processes. In this way, moreover, we are always redeveloping the best cost/benefit ratio.
How do you manage the company within such a dynamic market?
You can hardly find any independent companies today - especially in the semiconductor industry. We are proud that we have been standing our ground here for such a long time. This also means that we have developed a special company culture: we support our team with very unusual measures, especially for a medium-sized company. As a result, we have very little fluctuation – so all know-how stays in-house! This not only makes us competitive, but offers invaluable advantages for our customers.
What is your strategy for the company?
Together with the management team, I have been leading the company with a great deal of passion for over 20 years now. I am glad how we have also been able to turn global crises into opportunities. Moreover, I am proud of how strongly we have developed. Further growth can only happen organically – and that's what we're doing. For us, the focus is on the individual person.
Today you are CEO – how did you get started at E+H Metrology?
I started as a computer scientist at E+H, passionate about programming the software side of projects. Since software is a core part of every customer requirement, I started to lead and do management. This is how I got to know all the company's fields and all the products from scratch: this deep knowledge I still bring to new developments today. Furthermore, today I get to drive and shape innovations such as the Global Nanoscope. It always remains exciting what we do here!

Mr Michel – what makes working with E+H Metrology so special?
We are flexible, customer-oriented and solution-driven. This can only be done efficiently and specifically if all specialist areas work together seamlessly. We have succeeded in this for many years.
What makes E+H unique when it comes to customer contact?
In fact, we have never lost a customer. We have extremely long-standing customer relationships and maintain them well. What’s more, our service is unique. That’s only possible because we have a lot of long-standing expertise in-house. Long-standing employees appreciate that there are new challenges every day. The business grows with technological development.
How do you see your role in the company?
I’m in a kind of cross-sectional role: for a long time, I was the department head for measurement technology as an engineer – today, I use my knowledge to put our products and services in the right light with our customers and distributors and to provide advice and support. I like the relationship building and the inspiring contact! This is where new tasks arise for our team every day.

Mr Rings – what makes working with E+H Metrology so special?
We can make anything possible. The cooperation with the customers is based on trust – there is no „letting things hang“. Internally, we are a well-rehearsed team. Cooperation and – work[ing] together! With us, there are 52 years of experience and competence every day.
In your work, what do you encounter most often?
Our customers are under more and more pressure: increasingly individualized products and services are needed. And faster and faster. The customer often lacks a competent contact person who can contribute his or her own ideas: This is where we are in demand, and this is also where our innovations come from. In addition, large companies in particular are very complex in terms of processing and delivery. That’s quite different with us: we offer uncomplicated processing, even sometimes through short official channels.
How do you see your role in the company?
Sensor technology is a completely unique area. We move far outside the standard here, and so here too is my role as manager. Here, too, the focus is on customizing!, consulting and working together in a spirit of trust. Our strength is definitely that we don’t just offer ready-made products. Everything is absolutely individual according to the customer’s wishes. Our great know-how lies in the construction of the customer’s request, in the consultation. When we consult, often the project is created first. We are very deeply involved in the business processes of our customers. I enjoy that and this is also where I see the opportunity to bring in all the expertise of my team.

Mr Königsmann – what makes working with E+H Metrology so special?
Often what we do is clarification! This is because the metrology is crucial for the customer’s process. At the same time, metrology is a field that is too complicated for customers to cover themselves. We develop the solution the customer needs. If the customer doesn’t know exactly what he needs, we can assist. Service is another advantage that is often forgotten. It is only discussed after the purchase – and that is when we are there! Our service is truly unique and saves our customers a tremendous amount of money every day.
In your work, what do you encounter most often?
Our main challenge with customers is: problem solving, managing the process, controlling the output. There are new issues and challenges every day. However, because we work very directly with the customer on the problem, we can act much faster and more flexibly than other companies.
How do you see your role in the company?
As the head of the Metrology department, I am not only there for my team, but I also look into a wide spectrum of companies. In my position, I combine our expertise with the know-how of our customers: this results in excellent solutions!

Mr Antes – what makes working with E+H Metrology so special?
The special thing is the teamwork: many smart minds in many fields work hand in hand here – from development to implementation. I think there is an expert for everything in our company! The fact that we produce few standard products is challenging. On the contrary, we are always ready to flexibly develop completely new, individual solutions.
In your work, what do you encounter most often?
Most often I encounter that I have to reconcile extremely many aspects and that under high time pressure.
How do you see your role in the company?
Apart from my job as head of the electronics department, my personal vision is to make production even more eco-friendly. E+H has a long tradition of maintaining and repairing tools and products over many years anyway – I would like to continue this. In addition, I see my role in supporting our modern structures and encouraging technical development.

Mr Lang – what makes working with E+H Metrology so special?
Rather, it’s the other way around: For us, every customer is special! Each tool is customized according to the customer’s requirements, we specifically address each individual need. Starting from manual systems for development and engineering up to fully automated systems for wafer and chip manufacturers: we can cover it all.
In your work, what do you encounter most often?
Turning the needs of the customer into a production-ready product - that’s really what it’s all about. Each tool is unique: developed, extensions constructed and fabricated.
How do you see your role in the company?
I’ve been with the company for a very long time - and my work is still very exciting. From the initial inquiry to the first sketch to delivery, we cover everything. Then it continues: we also support our systems during ongoing operation. So we experience the entire life cycle of a product. To do this, you have to think in a generalistic way and work closely with your co-workers. That’s completely different from working for huge companies, and always remains a new challenge.
